Forms/Web Offset Printing

Product Continuous forms Business Forms produced on a Web Offset Press is the backbone of our business. Continuous Forms, Unit Set Forms and Laser Forms can be produced on a Web Offset Press. “Web-fed” refers to the use of rolls (or “webs”) of paper supplied to the printing press. Web offset is a form of offset printing in which a continuous roll of paper is fed through the printing press. Pages are separated and cut to size after they have been printed. Web-fed presses are divided into two general classes: “cold” or “non-heatset,” and “heatset” offset web presses, the difference being how the inks that are used dry. Cold web offset printing dries through absorption into the paper, while heatset utilizes drying lamps or heaters to cure or “set” the inks. Heatset presses can print on both coated (slick) and uncoated papers, while coldset presses are restricted to uncoated paper stock. Some web presses print at speeds of 3,000 feet per minute or faster which makes this production method very efficient and cost effective. Another feature of web offset presses is the ability to add extra features while printing, such as; Numbering, Hole Drilling, Cross Perforations, Skip Perforations, Pattern Carbon and On-line Paper Tinting . Constructing multi-part forms can be done with; Gluing, Crimping and Kleen-Stik Transfer Tape. Desensitizing and Opas Coating (CF) is available. Below are some examples of the types of Business Forms produced on a web offset press.

Cut Sheet Printing

Product Cut sheet
Cut Sheet Printing or Sheet-Fed Offset Printing is a method in which individual pages of paper are fed into a printing press which is quite different from the Web or Continuous style where rolls of paper are fed into a printing press. Some examples are listed and shown below.

Digital Printing

In digital printing, an image is sent directly to the printer using digital files such as PDFs and those from graphics software such as Illustrator and InDesign. This eliminates the need for a printing plate, which is used in offset printing, which can save money and time.

Without the need to create a plate, digital printing has brought about fast turnaround times and printing on demand. Instead of having to print large, pre-determined runs, requests can be made for as little as one print. While offset printing still often results in slightly better quality prints, digital methods are constantly improving.

Our digital presses print in Black and White, Full Color, do Variable Imaging and print MICR. With folding and stapling capabilities we can provide Newsletters and Catalogues. See list below for other products that can be produced digitally.
